Cardboard mount

20 - South of 35 degrees north latitude the prevziling crop is rice. Hills are terraced wherever water is available so as the land may produce the maximum of fodd stuffs for the densely populated regions of the rice groing section. On the right of this photograph is the Hill of Ten Thousand Graves [万墓岭 ?]. In the country regions people bury the dead on their fields, but in proximity to cities, plots are purchased preferably on hill sides.
