Abstract

Photo and description of guests present at C.P. Ling's cocktail party in the sky terrace of the Park Hotel as a greeting for the new recruited Australian artist H. Nelville. 

Note

Part of a billingual promotion brochure published in China Press to celebrate the 10th anniversary of China Commercial Advertising Agency on September 1, 1936. 

NB there is a mistake in the name of the advertising Agency - C.P. Ling's agency is the "China Commercial Advertising Agency" not the China National Advertising Agency. Such a mistake is instructive in a sense - C.P. Ling's agency is frequently praised as the first major exclusively Chinese advertising agency in China.
