The 1914 North China Daily News advertisement stated: "ARTS AND CRAFT, LTD. When making a present give something which combines USEFULNESS with BEAUTY. No more charming gift for a lady that a "LIBERTY" SILK SCARF can be devised. Inspect or choice stock of beautiful "Liberty" articles for presents including their toys for children. Prices from $1.00 upwards."
