"Martini" was advertised in 1934 in the British newspaper North China Daily News only. This suggests that Chinese consumers do not drink "creme de menthe", on one hand, and that this drink was probably competed by other more popular beverages after 1934 - either alcholic (beer, whisky) or soft drinks (sodas) - on the other hand.
