The Park Hotel (Guoji fandian), designed by Ladislaus Hudec in Art-Deco style, was built in 1932-1933 and completed in 1934. The hotel (83,8m) was the highest building in Shanghai in 1930s, with 22 floors and over 200 rooms and suites. The top floor featured a night club with a retracting roof where one could dance under the stars. The picture was taken from the Race course.
