Abstract

Criticizes the classification of luxury commodities newly established by the Tariff Commission. Mocks the "peculiar mentality of thoese responsible for this compilation" - especially the inclusion of rubber or electrical material. Suspects that the main goal is to establish a protective tariff to impede foreign imports and foster domestic industries. Expresses doubts as to the possibility of applying this tariff.
