Abstract

Le Rire Jaune was a French satirical journal published in Peiping (Beijing), 16 Kan Yu Hutung, by the Publications Albert Nachbaur. Includes mostly political cartoons (caricatures of political leaders or diplomats) and advertisements for French companies in China. The only issue available in Hornbeck Papers is dated July 1929, no. 4.
