Abstract

In his talk before the Shanghai Rotary Club on July 26, 1923, titled "The Rise of the Modern Business Man", the worldwide famous American journalist and writer Frank Crane claimed that "the country must be run along business lines and not by politicians" and refered to a recent proposition by Senator Borah of Idaho to appoint commissions of businessmen from various countries with the mission to settle troubles in Europe and other parts of the world.
