"Quaker oats" appeared exclusively in the Shenbao in 1924-1934. Its American origin may explain its absence from the British newspaper North China Daily News, where it was probably competed by the British brand "Horlicks malted milk". The American agency Carl Crow, Inc. was in charge of the account in the mid 1920s, at least in the streets of Shanghai.
