While the brands "Helmitol" or "Panflavin" appeared exclusively in the North China Daily News, the brand "Cresival", like "Aspirin", appeared in both newspapers in 1934-1941. While advertisements Cresival adopted a rational style in the British newspaper, it was still advertised as a "panacea" (聖藥 shengyao) in the Chinese newspaper Shenbao as late as 1934.
