Carl Crow claimed to be the first advertising agent to be in charge of Pond's advertising campaigns in China, as early as 1921. Yet the account may have passed to another agency - either the China Commercial Advertising Agency or Millington Ltd - by the mid-1930s. The brand was advertised in the Chinese newspaper Shenbao only. It never appeared in the British newspaper North China Daily News, in which it was probably competed by other brands (Daggett & Ramsdell, etc).
