The advertisement published in the North China Daily News in 1924 do not precise whether it is about "toilet" or "bar" soap. As it is associated with medical products (pills for the liver and kidney, for anaemia), the latter is the most probable option. Bar soaps appeared later in the Chinese newspaper Shenbao (1941).
