A Chinese point of view on China's export trade. Observes the increase of China export trade in spite of the people's ignorance and lack of co-operation from the government. Explains the increase by the abundance and then availility at reasonable prices of commodities that are lacking in other parts of the world, the development of transport facilities, the abolition of likin taxes, the revision of export duties and the up-building of a Chinese merchant marine. Calls for a serious reflecion by the Chinese themselves on their export trade strategy. Points out a major problems: when other countries want to import Chinese goods, they do not turn to Chinese firms, but rather to Japanese firms. In a word, while there are Chinese products to export, there are no Chinese export firms abroad that could serve as middlemen. The article incidentally provides a list of the main products exported by China: wood oil, soya bean oil, vegetable wax, peanuts, silk goods, rice, tea, cotton seed oil.
