Abstract

Report an address given at a meeting of women under the auspice of the Women's Christian - on the subject of the economic aspect of prostitution.

Note

Suggests strong connections between religious, business and political circles, as well as male (Rockfeller) and female (Women's Christian Temperance Union) circles, at a global scale - from Shanghai to New York and Europe. Note the vocabulary applied to prostitution - described as a market in terms of demand, consumption, or profit.
