We are sending you herewith an application for permit to erect one advertising board in Hart Road facing Avenue Road. On this location we are already paying rents to the landlord.
We understand that the Municipal Council has included this lot in the future widening of roads but we sincerely hope that your will find your way to grant a permit to have the board placed there till you start working. We shall undertake to pull down the board at our own expense immediately on the receipt of your instructions.

An application have been received from the Oriental Press for a permit to erect and advertising hoarding measuring 12'0" x 15'0" above premises No.1786 Bubbling Well Road, which is a one stories building, used as a dairy. As the district in which is it proposed to erect the hoarding, is entirely residential, I recommend that the maximum fee of Tls. 5.00 per square foot per annum be charged, in order to discourage, if possible, the erection of such a structure in this part of the Settlement.

I am directed to refer to your letter of October 17 addressed to the Public Works Department and to your application for a permit ot erect and advertising hoarding measuring 12'0" x 15'0" above the premises No. 1786 Bubbling Well Road. In reply thereto I am to state that the necesary permit would be granted upon payment therefor of a fee of Tls. 5.00 per square foot per annum.

An application has been received from the Oriental Advertising Agency to erect an advertisement hoarding fronting the Bubbling Well Road, just west of Hart Road, between Cad. Lots 2471 and 2571.
As this is a residential district, and as the proposed hoarding will face Foreign residences, I recommend that the application be refused.

In accordance with the recommendation contained in your report of June 2, the application of the Oriental Advertising Agency to erect and advertisement hoarding fronting this section of Bubbling Well Road is disapproved. I shall therefore be oblige if you will inform the applicants accordingly.

With reference to your application of the 27th ultimo, to erect an advertisement hoarding fronting Bubbling Well Road, on the above site, I beg to inform you that the Council has disapproved the application, owing to the residential nature of the immediate neighborhood, and on account of the fact that the proposed hoarding would face foreign residences. I return your two plans herewith.
