• to introduce its advertising and subscription rates
• to advertise its circulating library 申報流通圖書館 (Shenbao liutong tushuguan)
• to advertise its publishing department 申報特種發行部 (Shenbao tezhong faxingbu)
• to advertise its monthly magazine (申報月刊) (Shenbao yuekan) published by the Shenbao monthly magazine company 申報月刊社 [申報特種發行部] (Shenbao yuekan [Shenbao tezhong faxingbu]). The January 1934 issue of the Shenbao monthly magazine was devoted to Soviet Union Research 蘇聯研究 (Sulian yanjiu)

Brougth together, these advertisements reveal the newspaper company wide range of activities in 1934. In 1941, the newspaper advertised its new column "Free talk" 自由談 (ziyoutan)
