You will probably remember myspeaking to you a week or so ago about a permit for an electrical advertisement. I now enclose a formal application which I trust is in order.

An application for permission to install a moving picture advertising screen in a 1st floor window facing the Nanking Road on the above lot has been received from G.H. Wright, Esq. on behalf of the Mason Company. If you are agreeable that this permit be issued I would suggest that a clause be inserted on the permit to the effect that permission may be withdrawn any time.

There is no Police objection to the granting of this permit which should be liable to withdrawal at any time.

In answer to your letter number B64/346 dated May 10th (1926) the appliance and premises have been inspected by an Officer of this Department and there is very little risk as far as fire and panic are concerned, though I concur entirely with the clause you propose to insert in the permit.
