Correspondence dated August 1919 between the Consolidated Safety Pin Co. and the Bureau of Foreign and Domestic Commerce, Department of Commerce, Washington, D.C.., investigating possibilities of foreign trade for their product of safety pins, in selected countries (see attached list), and requesting special information regarding:
- the names of reliable commission merchants, importers or wholesalers in the leading cities of
- the quantity of their safety pins imported in these countries, and from what country these safety pins were exported
- custom duties, port of entry procedure, etc
- prices, either wholesale or retail
