Would you be kind enough to grant us permission to send a representative to the Building Surveyor's Office from time to time in order to secure information regarding new building permits issues. 

We are constantly in the market for advertising space on the bamboo fences which are put up in front of buildings under construction and this information would be a great deal of value.

A list of plans of new buildings approved was formerly given weekly in the Municipal Gazette, but the publication of this information was discontinued in August last year, at the suggestion of the Acting Secretary. 

The resumption of the issue of this list would give Mr. Carl Crow the information he desires, and the adoption of this procedure would be, in my opinion, prefereable to the granting of information of this nature to an individual. 

I beg to recommend, therefore, that the publication of the list of new buildings approved be again issued in the Gazette.

With reference to your report No. R/22/1257 of October 21, your suggestion that the publication of the list of plans of new buildings approved, which was discontinued in August last year be now reinstated in the Gazette, is approved.

I am directed to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of Octover 26, in which you ask the Council permission to send a representative to the Building Surveyor's office from time to time, in order to secure information as to new building permits issued. 

In reply thereto, I am to state that the procedure which formerly existed whereby a list of plans of new buildings approved was published weekly in the Municipal Gazette will be reverted to. The information you desire can accordingly be obtained form the Municipal Gazette.
