In reply to your esteemed letter of the 12th inst. (May 1938) regarding the refitting of 1 Neonlight Sign at 68 Connaught Road, we have the honour to inform you that we shall, in accordance with your instructions, refit the sign within three weeks as we are very busy now.

In reply to your letter dated the 14th instant, regarding the above Neon Light Sign, I have to refer you to my previous notifications dated April 28 and May 12. I regret that I am unable to agree with your suggestion that the sign should remain for a further three weeks and, at the same time, would inform you that the sign will be removed by this Department within the next three days.

In reply to your letter No.1105A & 1203A in regard to the neon light sign situated in the above address, we beg respectfully to inform you that the neon sign above our shop front was erected by Kwang Ming Neon Light Company, which has been permitted to erect by the permit No. G7325 issued to that company by you on the date of the 25th November 1939. On requesting you to give the matter your kind consideration, we are Dear Sir.

With reference to your letter No. 5122A of the 10th instant (September 1941) addresed to Messrs. Kwang Neon Light Company, regarding our neon sign, copy of which you have sent us we beg to advise you that they have not re-erected that sign according to your regulations. Kindly let us know if the neon light sign has now been fixed in accordance with the S.M.C. regulations.
